Each client opportunity for which you contract will have contract terms of 30, 60, or 90 days. At the end of the contract term the client may decide they still need assistance and ask to renew your contract for another 30, 60, or 90 days. Renewal is not guaranteed. Likewise, at the end of your contract you may choose to continue with the same client, or you may contract with a different client.

In addition to operating hours, a company may have a minimum amount of hours that must be worked for the week, as well as stipulations on when some of the hours must be done. For example: Company 'A' may say an independent contractor must work a minimum of 15 hours for the week, and 5 of those hours must be done between Saturday and Monday.
